FAQ:

What should I expect at my first appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.  This will allow you plenty of time to get changed, fill out any pre-service paperwork and relax in our tranquility space.  Robes, slippers and aesthetic wraps are provided for your use while visiting our medical spa.

Your provider will answer any questions that you might have.  Please give them feedback to ensure you get the best possible treatment and focus on any problem areas.  You will be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket during your service.

What should I do to make my visits faster?
Make sure you show up 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, and have any pertinent information to your visit available right away.  You can also fill out your patient intake forms before your visit by clicking on this link: http://vivamd.com/blog/ so you don’t have rush or hold up other patients.

May I use cell phones or pagers in the spa?
In consideration of all guests, we ask that you please either turn off pagers and cell phones or use the vibrate setting when you are visiting the spa.

Can my child accompany me?
To preserve the relaxing atmosphere of our medical  spa and for the safety of your child/en, we require spa guests to be at least 14 years of age. Please do not bring children and leave them unattended, This is very disruptive to other guests and unsafe for children.  Parental consent is required for children under the age of 18.

How much gratuity should I leave?
We are dedicated to providing a total wellness experience at our medical spa. In keeping with this medical philosophy, gratuities are not accepted by our medical staff but this would not apply to estheticians and massage therapists, exercise instructors. Gratuities are encouraged for estheticians, massage therapists and exercise instructors.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
Due to the individualized nature of the services that we offer, our spa providers prepare treatment rooms and services in advance for each client. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and 48 hours for multiple services and/or spa packages. We reserve the right to charge for appointments and or take a session off from a per-purchased package  if appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to treatment or no show.

What time should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to relax and prepare for your treatment.  For your comfort, robes and slippers are available for you to change into.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, spa finder gift card/gift certificate and cash in addition to The vivaMD Medical Spa’s gift certificate and we also offer financing.

Do you accept insurance?
Most cosmetic procedures, including laser, are not considered to be medically necessary by insurance carriers. Therefore, charges must be paid at the time of each visit. Some procedures may be approved by your insurance carrier or flexible spending account. The spa will provide you with necessary receipts and forms to include with your claim submission. Your insurance carrier will reimburse you directly for any covered services.

Are there any health conditions that would prohibit me from getting a service?
When scheduling your appointment, please be aware that certain health concerns and medical conditions may require medical clearance prior to receiving services.  If you are currently under medical care, please notify our medical staff to ensure that you can be seen.

A medical health history is required with each new client and service.  Please advise your service provider if you are pregnant, have injuries or recent surgeries.  If you are using Retin-A, Accutane or other medications, please inform your provider so that appropriate products and treatments are selected.

May I get refund on purchase/s or return my spa purchases (i.e. dietary supplements and skincare products) if I am unhappy with them?
Our standing company policy is that all sales are final.
